Revulog (“Revulog”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a business intelligence platform that helps businesses monitor, analyze, and respond to customer reviews on Google Business Profile. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information, including data accessed via Google APIs.

By using Revulog, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Business owners, administrators, and authorized users of Revulog

  • Google Business Profile account holders who connect their accounts to Revulog using OAuth 2.0

  • Visitors to the Revulog website

Revulog is a B2B software product and is intended for business use only.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may collect the following information when you use Revulog:

  • Name

  • Business name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Account and configuration details

  • Business location identifiers selected by the user

2.2 Information Accessed via Google APIs

When you connect your Google account to Revulog, we access data only through the following OAuth scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage

Using this scope, Revulog may access:

  • Google Business Profile account and location information

  • Customer reviews, including:

    • Review text

    • Star rating

    • Review date

    • Publicly visible reviewer display name

  • Review reply status and metadata required for response publishing

Reviewer names accessed are limited strictly to publicly visible display names provided by Google and do not include private Google account information.

Revulog does not access:

  • Personal Google account emails

  • Gmail content

  • Contacts

  • Calendar data

  • Google Drive files

  • Photos or videos

  • Any Google data unrelated to Google Business Profile management

3. How We Use Google User Data

Google Business Profile data is used only for the following purposes:

  • Syncing customer reviews into the Revulog platform

  • Performing sentiment analysis, focus-area tagging, and trend identification

  • Displaying analytics dashboards and downloadable reports

  • Generating AI-assisted draft responses to customer reviews

  • Publishing review responses on behalf of the business, either after user approval or based on user-configured automation rules

  • Sending alerts and notifications configured by the business owner

Revulog does not:

  • Sell Google user data

  • Use Google user data for advertising

  • Use Google user data for building or training public AI models

  • Share Google user data with third parties for marketing or profiling

All data usage complies with Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

  • OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are securely stored and encrypted at rest

  • Data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with restricted access

  • Access is limited to authorized system processes and role-based internal users

  • Review and analytics data is retained only for as long as required to provide the service or meet contractual or legal obligations

Users may disconnect their Google account at any time, after which no further data is accessed or synced.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Revulog does not sell, rent, or trade user data.

Data may be shared only:

  • With trusted infrastructure providers strictly for platform operation (e.g., hosting, email delivery)

  • When required by applicable law or valid legal process

  • With explicit authorization from the account owner

All service providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

6. Automated Processing and AI Usage

Revulog uses automated systems, including AI-based analysis, to:

  • Analyze review sentiment

  • Categorize feedback into focus areas

  • Detect trends over time

  • Generate draft review responses

Final control over publishing, approval workflows, and automation settings always remains with the business owner or authorized administrator.

AI processing is limited exclusively to Google Business Profile review data and user-provided configuration inputs.

7. User Control and Account Permissions

Users can:

  • Revoke Google account access at any time via Google Account security settings

  • Disconnect Google Business Profile integration within Revulog

  • Control response approval, automation rules, and alert configurations

  • Request data deletion by contacting Revulog support

Once access is revoked, Revulog immediately stops all future data access and synchronization.

8. Cookies and Website Usage

Revulog uses cookies and similar technologies only for:

  • Authentication and session management

  • Basic platform analytics and performance monitoring

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children’s Privacy

Revulog is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

10. Compliance with Google OAuth and API Policies

Revulog complies with:

  • Google OAuth 2.0 requirements

  • Google API Services User Data Policy

  • Limited Use and least-privilege principles

Our OAuth consent screen, scope usage, branding, homepage, and privacy disclosures accurately represent how Google user data is accessed and used.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of Revulog after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
